Community Poll — Homepage Content Quality | 3.2

We want to filter pure spam from the homepage — but we're not building a recommendation algorithm. Before doing anything, we want to hear from you.

Hey Pickful community!

We've been getting feedback that the homepage has more off-topic or spammy posts lately, making the experience worse. We're figuring out how to handle it, and we want your input before we make any changes.

💡 Our Position

Let's be upfront about where we stand:

The chronological timeline isn't going anywhere. Whatever we decide, we'll keep a "Latest" tab next to "Following" — a full, unfiltered time-ordered feed that's always accessible.

We're not building an algorithmic feed. Traditional platforms use recommendation systems to push what benefits the platform — ads, engagement traps. That's not what we want to do.

We only want to filter pure spam. The timeline should stay chronological and unmanipulated — but meaningless filler posts shouldn't crowd out real content. This is about improving experience, not controlling what you see.

📋 What We Want Your Input On

Before we move forward, we want to hear from the community:

  • What counts as spam? What do you consider genuine spam vs. content you personally just don't like?
  • Platform filter vs. personal block? Should we filter at the platform level, or should users handle it themselves with the block feature?
  • Non-crypto content? Pickful is a crypto community — should non-crypto topics appear on the homepage?
