Why Start with Base?

Why Start with Base?
A category-level brand does not need to launch across every chain. Starting with one ecosystem can create the density required to learn quickly.
Base looked attractive because it combined active application growth, consumer distribution, low transaction costs, EVM tooling, and a recognizable institutional sponsor. More importantly, a focused ecosystem made customer discovery and data coverage manageable.
Build an action registry, not a directory
The goal was not to list Base projects. Existing ecosystem pages already do that. The useful asset would be a registry of verified, executable actions: swap this asset, deposit into this market, claim this reward, bridge through this route, or inspect this position.
Each action would include contracts, parameters, expected outcomes, permissions, and risks. That structure could support trusted pages, human workflows, and agent execution.
The first customers would be concrete: Base protocols that wanted safer activation, wallets that needed action metadata, and agent developers that did not want to maintain every integration themselves.
Ecosystem focus can create its own illusion
Base had a strong narrative, but ecosystem momentum did not guarantee demand for our product. Grants, partner conversations, and social attention could look like traction while users still ignored the registry.
Success therefore needed behavioral evidence: integrations using the data, repeated actions initiated through it, maintenance paid for by customers, and action definitions reused across multiple products.
The principle we retained was:
A category-level brand can start in one ecosystem, but every project should add a reusable action asset that can travel across customers—and eventually across chains.
Base was a practical boundary for a first test, not a permanent identity or proof of product-market fit.
