🎬 Subtitle overhaul — Long video support · Complete translations · Live updates — 3.22

Hey Pickful community,

A significant upgrade to video subtitles, shipped today.

Long videos are fully subtitled now. Previously, subtitle translation had a length cap — anything past a certain point just got cut off. We now translate in chunks, so every line of a long video gets covered, no matter the length.

Translations are more complete. Subtitles are now translated line-by-line with strict 1:1 mapping. If the AI misses a line, the system retries automatically — far fewer gaps in the final output.

Subtitles appear automatically when ready. No more manual page refresh. The moment translation finishes, subtitles push to the page in real time.

Videos without audio no longer spin forever. Uploading a silent video (e.g. screen recordings with no audio track) used to leave the subtitle progress stuck on “Generating subtitles…” indefinitely. Now it detects the error and shows a clear failure indicator right away.

Available now on Web, iOS, and Android — no app update required.
